RoleShift
Terms and Conditions
The agreement between you and RoleShift. Last updated 12 September 2026.
Who we are
RoleShift is made by ThinkQ AI LLC, Dallas, Texas, United States. In these terms, “we” and “RoleShift” mean that company, and “you” means the person using the app or the website.
These terms are the agreement between you and us. You accept them by ticking the box and signing in. If you do not accept them, do not use RoleShift.
What RoleShift does
You give RoleShift your resume. It reads the resume and shows you the questions an interviewer would probably ask about it. You answer those questions out loud. RoleShift records your answer, turns it into text, scores it, and writes a better version of the answer.
What you are giving us permission to do
This is the part that matters, so it is written out in full. You give RoleShift permission to process:
- your resume, and the text taken out of it
- the job descriptions you add
- your answers — the audio recording and the text of it
- the questions, scores, reports and rewritten answers made from those
- your email address, and what you do in the app
“Process” means we store it, we read it, and we send it to the companies named in our privacy policy so they can transcribe your answers, read your resume, and write your report for us. Those companies work on our instructions and are not allowed to use your data for their own purposes.
You give this permission so we can do the thing you opened the app for. We do not sell your data and we do not use it for advertising.
You can take this permission back at any time by deleting your account. Write to [email protected] and we will do it. What gets deleted, and what we have to keep, is in the privacy policy.
What you promise us
- You are 18 or over.
- The resume and job descriptions you add are yours to share. If a document has someone else’s personal details in it, you have the right to give it to us.
- You will not use RoleShift to break the law, and you will not try to get into other people’s accounts or take the service apart.
- One account per person.
What RoleShift is not
- It does not apply for jobs and it does not get you interviews.
- The score is software’s opinion. It is not an employer’s opinion and it is not a promise of anything.
- The coach is software. It is not a person, not a recruiter and not a career adviser, and nothing it says is professional advice.
Paying
Some steps cost credits. Before any step that costs, the app shows you the most it can cost. Your plan and the credits you have left are on your Account screen. Every price is zero today; if that changes, the price is on the screen before you press the button, never after.
Stopping
- You can stop using RoleShift whenever you want, and ask us to delete your account.
- We can suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we have to for legal or security reasons. We will tell you why unless we are not allowed to.
- We can change the service or shut it down. If we shut it down we will give you notice and a way to get your data out.
If something goes wrong
RoleShift is a practice tool and we give it to you as it is. We do not promise it will always be available, that the questions it asks are the ones you will actually be asked, or that using it will get you a job.
As far as the law allows, we are not liable for losses beyond what you paid us in the twelve months before the problem.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms we will update this page and the date at the top. If the change is significant we will ask you to agree again in the app.
Which law applies
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts in Dallas County, Texas, and you and we both agree to that.
